Illegal Entry During Childhood

Obtaining Status in the United States When an Immigrant Entered Illegally as a Child

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Renewal – If I have been approved for DACA before, can I still renew?

  • Children who entered the United States unlawfully and met certain other evidentiary requirements were able to apply for benefits under the DACA program in the past. Immigration is no longer accepting initial applications for DACA. However, Immigration continues to accept renewal applications.

  • An approved application for DACA renewal allows DACA recipients to continue to obtain work authorization in the United States.

  • If you have already been granted DACA in the United States and need legal representation to assist you in renewing your DACA, you are welcome to reach out to Elizabeth Cuenca, P.A.!
