Abused Spouse/Child Petition – Who qualifies to submit an abused spouse or abused child petition?

• Immigrants who have become victims of domestic violence in the form of mental or physical abuse by a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident may be eligible to apply for classification as an abused spouse or child. Immigrants who are classified as abused spouses or children are then able to apply for Lawful Permanent Residence as a result.
